Abstract

Apocalypticism is the grand narrative about the struggle between good and evil. To understand the attractiveness of the Nordic Resistance Movement, this article analyzes NMR as an apocalyptic movement, by using four apocalyptic topos: Evil, Place, Time and Authority. The followers see the Nordic region as invaded by foreign races. They see it as their mission to form a new society through a revolution that will save ”us” from the chaos that now prevails. They believe we are facing the end of the world, and the NRM view themselves as an elite force and vanguard for the coming Nazi revolution.
