Den konstitutiva retoriken i innehåll om autismdiagnoser på TikTok

Denna artikel undersöker de retoriska dynamikerna i innehåll om autismdiagnoser från #ActuallyAutistic-gemenskapen på TikTok, med fokus på hur användare uppvisar trovärdighet och konstruerar kunskapsanspråk inom denna gemenskap. Genom en retorisk analys av 45 videor utforskar studien genre, hänvisningar till epistemisk auktoritet och diskursen om synliggörande av autism. Studien visar att skapare främst förlitar sig på narrativa och mimetiska former, där personlig erfarenhet prioriteras framför vetenskapliga referenser. Jag hävdar att sådant innehåll inte syftar till att ersätta vetenskaplig diskurs om autism, utan istället uppfyller särskilda retoriska mål, såsom bekräftelse av identitet och odling av gemenskap. Genom att rama in autismdiagnos som en plats för positiv frihet och autenticitet, engagerar sig TikTok-skapare i detta sammanhang i en form av konstitutiv retorik som speglar bredare generationsskiften i epistemologi, identitetspolitik och medieengagemang.
