Forslag til retorisk kritik af ytringer i den offentlige sfære

Hvordan kan det samfundsvidenskabelige offentlighedsbegreb inddrages i retorisk kritik af konkrete ytringer, og hvilket forklaringspotentiale har en sådan inddragelse? Disse spørgsmål søges besvaret gennem en opstilling af en tredelt situationel analyse. Eksisterende begrebsdannelser om den retoriske og den hermeneutiske situation suppleres med begrebet ’en sociologisk situation’ der opstilles på baggrund af en sammenlignende læsning af Jürgen Habermas’ og Zygmunt Baumans offentlighedsteorier, og der gives et eksempel på den tredelte analysemodels anvendelighed.
