Abstract

Kroppe og kropsdele udveksles i stadig højere grad mellem den første og den tredje verden. Et relativt nyt og stadig mere udbredt fænomen er, at fertilitetsrejsende krydser grænser for at gøre brug af rugemødre – bl.a. i Indien. Når en indisk kvinde udlejer sin livmoder kommercielt og giver liv til et barn som hun ikke er beslægtet med i genetisk forstand, med henblik på at eksportere det til en familie i en anden del af verden, udfordres traditionelle forestillinger om slægtskab og familiedannelse, og det er derfor en overskridende kropslig og kulturel praksis i mere end en forstand. Artiklen undersøger hvordan respektabilitet etableres for henholdsvis fertilitetsrejsende og rugemoderen og argumenterer for, hvordan den komplekse problematik kan begribeliggøres ved hjælp af en feministisk retorisk analyse.
